Origin Story
Humans desire meaningful moments but are often fearful how they will come.
Will they arrive through joy and celebrated experiences or tragedy and incomprehensible heartbreak? The fate of our lives is left to the divine, but how we invest our time inspires the stories told about what every little moment means.
A Mala is a mindfulness tool that facilitates the creation of intention, the investment of accountability, and the moments of gratitude that leave the body and mind feeling exceptional.
Aesculus The Buckeye Mala® originated from a desire to live a more fulfilled life and be reminded what it takes to achieve it. We know what it means to dream big and the power of having something tangible to get you through the small moments that bring dreams to life.
Aesculus The Buckeye Mala® is the extraordinary, exquisite, and timeless necklace that sits upon the open space of our neckline to remind us what we are living for and to energize us to evolve evermore.
Naming Aesculus The Buckeye Mala®
"Aesculus glabra", pronounced "S"-"cu" (like "cucumber") - "less", is the scientific name for a tree species known as Ohio Buckeye. As the chosen "guru bead" in our design, the buckeye nut serves the greater purpose of reminding wearers that humanity is best served through awareness and understanding. Aesculus The Buckeye Mala® serves as a reminder that living intentionality, accountably, and exceptionally is what leads to achieving dreams and realizing possibilities.
